June 5th Transit of Venus Offers Last-Chance Views
Look skyward, space-lovers: Tuesday, June 5 is the last chance in your lifetime to see the transit of Venus across the face of the sun.
Venus won’t visibly pass between the Earth and the sun again until 2117.
I am missing this incredible event because I stupidly booked myself in the get tattooed during it’s transit. Kind of ironic that I’m missing a once in a lifetime opportunity to have my skin permanently marked. Maybe I’ll forever be reminded of missing out on it whenever I look at it.
Anyway I’m pretty damn upset about it, but que sera sera. I think I will make up for it by booking myself a holiday in Cairns for the solar eclipse in November :D
